Summer Food Drive for the Conway Ministry Center
The Conway Ministry Center
Currently, Arkansas ranks at the top of all U.S. states in food insecurity. That means 1 in 4 kids may not know where their next meal is coming from. Not a stat to be proud of, right?
One local organization is doing what they can to help—not just with food, but with faith as well. Last summer, the Conway Ministry Center (CMC) fed over 26,000 people here in Faulkner County.
What They Do
Their mission, as listed on their website, is to “build bridges between people experiencing the immediate effects of poverty and homelessness to the physical and spiritual resources available to alleviate suffering and facilitate long-term transformation.”
With resources such as The Homeless Hub and The Storehouse, the CMC hopes to shine a light on fellow Arkansans who may be overlooked during difficult times.
In December 2024, school districts in the Toad Suck Service Area reported 2,103 homeless children, with nearly 800 of those in Faulkner County alone. The CMC serves as a beacon for those in need of rehousing, rehabilitation, and reformation—offering hope and help to individuals and families experiencing crisis.
Here’s how you can help:
Here at The Studio Downtown, we are more than happy to support this vital organization by hosting a summer-long food drive. With kids out of school and temperatures rising, proper nutrition and hydration are especially important for those without consistent shelter.
You can help our neighbors in need by dropping off your donations at our reception desk, donating directly to the Conway Ministry Center, or volunteering your time. Every can, every dollar, and every hour of service makes a difference. Let’s come together to uplift our community and support those who need it most—because no one should have to face hunger or hardship alone.
Each donation you make at the Studio also serves as a vote for a new Studio update! Every item you contribute counts as one vote, so the more you donate, the higher the chances that your preferred Studio update will succeed!

Hearty Soups
Cereal
Canned Meats
Pasta
Peanut Butter
Canned Goods
This food drive will run through the end of the summer. When it’s done, we’ll count up the donations and see which Studio update is happening next: A new mural or improvements to the nap room! After that, all donations will be delivered to the Conway Ministry Center. So head on over to your favorite grocery store or take a look through your pantry so we can get these donations going!
