At The Studio Downtown, weekly classes are offered for middle school thru adults from August until May, led by renowned artist/instructor, Pam McDaniel. Students learn drawing fundamentals and explore a variety of media including pastels, colored pencil watercolor, acrylic paint, charcoal, and pen and ink. Students attend class throughout the school year and finish in May with a public exhibition of their work in the Spring Art Show. Classes are offered for beginning/intermediate students and advanced students.
Lessons are one hour group sessions/class size limited to 10 students (one-on-one private lessons available). Tuition is $95 per month. Payment is due at the beginning of the first class of each month. To register for a class, a $50 supply fee must accompany the registration form.
Summer Art Camp is also offered.
SUMMER ART CAMP: At The Studio Downtown, Summer Art Camp, instructed by Pam McDaniel, is offered for middle school thru adults the week of July 11 – 15.
Middle School/High School Classes: 9:00 a.m. – Noon daily.
High School/Adults 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.
In this three hour daily class, students learn drawing fundamentals and explore a variety of media including pastels, colored pencil watercolor, acrylic paint, charcoal, and pen and ink. Class size limited to 10.
Tuition is $120 for the week session. (This includes all art supplies.) Payment is due at registration.

Our Art Instructors are professionally trained and award winning artist.
Pam McDaniel: Pam has taught art for seventeen years, both in schools and privately. She is the Art and Photography teacher for Winchester Christian Academy. She has degrees both in Graphic Design and Education from Eastern Kentucky University.
Pam’s students have won awards in local, state, and international competitions and several have gone on to pursue careers in the arts. Pam is the mother of three, and lives in Winchester with her youngest daughter, Haley.
Phil Ling: As an award winning artist, photographer, and gifted musician Phil Ling provides artistic leadership and strategic direction to The Studio Downtown. He began his art studies locally under the instruction of Pam McDaniel and photography under the instruction of Jerry Schurman. He attended Milligan College where he continued his studies in art and photography. Phil is known for his photojournalistic style that captures real moments in a refreshing, natural and contemporary style. The Studio Downtown also is the location for, Phil Ling photography offering custom children/ family photo books, commercial photography and wedding photography.
